Nick coaches tomorrows’
leaders in international financial and legal services organisations in
the UK, Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, Hong Kong and USA.
He is driven by a
passionate belief in the potential of people to go beyond their personal
boundaries to become the best they can be.
Current Role
Nick founded The Parallel Mind
Ltd in 2002 to coach top people in global organisations
culturally orientated communication, business development and leadership
skills. Current clients include AIB, Latham & Watkins, Linklaters and
Lovells.
His article REPUTATION
REPUTATION REPUTATION on how in-house counsel are tackling
reputation issues was featured in the April 2009 Martindale-Hubbell
Counsel to Counsel Newsletter.
Leadership
He is leading a pioneering Cass London Business School
research project looking at the link between top leadership and
innovative organisations. Nick has interviewed over 20 CEOs and senior
leaders in the UK and German Financial Services and Legal sectors. The
research has been benchmarked with industrials Bosch, BP, and Corus.
He co-presented, with
Daniela Sfameni, Head HR Allianz Global Investors, “What’s Your Big
Idea?” Client Led Innovation – How to Change into a Client Centric
Organisation at the 2007 Professional Marketing Forum’s
global conference London.
Nick organised, with
LexisNexis, a panel dinner, Law firm profitability: New
challenges; fresh leadership, for Managing Partners at the
Dorchester Hotel in 2007. He writes and advises on leadership. His
article, Sustainability: What Sort of Future Do You want to
Create for Your Organisation? appeared in Fresh Business Thinking –
CEO Newsletter in August 2007. Nick is a career consultant to the
Welsh Rugby Union and a Leicester Tigers Football Club 2007/08 Academy
business skills coach.
He is a Prince’s Trust
mentor helping young entrepreneurs succeed in business.
Emotional Intelligence
He facilitates workshops and speaks at conferences on how to
use Emotionally Intelligent leadership to transform organisations.
His articles on
Emotionally Intelligent Client Service have been published in the UK (Fenman,
Fresh Business Thinking and PM Forum) and the USA (PM International).
Coaching
Nick has coached executives in the private and public sectors
in the UK and Europe up to CEO level.
Training
He has facilitated high level communication and business
development skills workshops in Europe and SE Asia. Nick has worked with
some of the leading organisations in the world including: Allianz;
Citigroup; BP; J P Morgan; Prudential; Rolls Royce; & Unilever. He has
run train the trainer courses for the British Council in Eastern Europe
and Financial Services courses in the Mediterranean.
