Peter Large

My principal interest in coaching is on behaviours, relationships and leadership skills within structures and systems of governance in organisations.

Governance structures require good design and the recruitment of great people but that often isn’t enough.  Effective governance comes about from how those great people behave individually and interact collectively.

My focus in coaching is on supporting individuals (and boards collectively) to identify how to navigate complex governance landscapes in order to build trust and to become more effective in playing a constructive role in leading and sustaining organisations.

I have over twenty years of board-level experience in a global organisation in the professional services sector.  I have experience in strategy development, and in leading multi-disciplinary teams in assurance, compliance and regulation.  I have successfully designed assurance frameworks, boards and other governance structures, and have recruited to those boards and structures.

I hold a BA (Hons) in Politics, an MBA and a Postgraduate Certificate in Coaching and Behavioural Change from Henley.

In addition to working as a coach (as described above and generally as an executive coach), I also work as a consultant in strategy development and in designing governance structures aligned to the delivery of strategy.
